Project No. BG16RFPR002-1.008-0001 Biomedical Research and Technology Center (BioMedRTC): An Accelerator of Scientific Excellence towards Innovation Driven Economy in Bulgaria.
Project Objective: Establish a world-class Biomedical Research and Technology Center that will accelerate research and innovation (R&I) in the life and health sciences. BioMedRTC will integrate technologies from molecular and cell biology with approaches from mathematical and physical sciences to improve our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of rare diseases and cancer, contributing to the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods. The Center will provide excellent conditions and strong support for independent young laboratory leaders, students and postdoctoral fellows, creating a stimulating environment for R&I. BioMedRTC will improve the quality of healthcare in Bulgaria by providing state-of-the-art technologies, services, know-how and opportunities for collaborative research with hospitals, clinical laboratories and small and medium-sized enterprises.
